WHO WE ARE

OUR STORY

Ready For School Peru was founded in 2015 by a group of passionate volunteers from Norwalk and Stamford, Connecticut, who were moved by the struggles of students in Peru's remote Andean communities.

Seeing firsthand how the lack of basic school supplies prevented children from attending or succeeding in school, our founders decided to act. What started as a small grassroots effort has grown into a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Over the past decade, we have supported more than 60 schools and helped over 2,000 students with the supplies they need to succeed. Each year, our dedicated team organizes fundraising events across Connecticut, then travels personally to Peru to deliver donations directly to schools — ensuring every backpack, uniform, coat, and supply reaches the child who needs it.
